It's the Pictures

Jul 24, 2017

This week, John and Max are discussing memory loss, wormholes, spinning tops, and magic tricks by diving into the filmography of Christopher Nolan. In honor of his latest, Dunkirk, we run down the popular director's highs and lows. Is he overrated? Or has the backlash gone too far?

They're also discussing all the news out of Disney's D23 convention, including a first look at Ava DuVernay's A Wrinkle in Time. The trailer for Guillermo del Toro's The Shape of Water went online right before the show, so they also talked expectations for this December (not October) release, and they close with thoughts on Spider-Man: Homecoming, War for the Planet of the Apes, and the 20th anniversary of The Fifth Element.
