It's the calm before the storm for cinephiles, but John and Max found a lot to talk about on the news front between Criterion announcements, release date shuffling, and the recent Movie Pass price change.

For their trailer of the week, they split on expectations for George Clooney's Suburbicon, and they've got a super-sized review section with thoughts on Detroit, Logan Lucky, HBO's The Leftovers, and more.

2nd Annual Disaster movie podcast!

John and Max are talking about disaster movies this week! This is their second annual attempt at watching some really bad disaster movies and well they are still horrible! This year they are tackling TwisterVolcano, and Dante's Peak

They start by talking about the end of the Summer Box Office Contest. Then they follow it up with the trailer of the week with Call Me By Your Name. Then they start talking about the topic of the week. Aunt Ruth would approve.

Finishing off with a What You've Been Watching Lately: Max (Atomic Blonde) John (Beatriz at Dinner)
